Yoga as psychological therapy

Yoga is a physical and mental discipline that originated in India and is a series of asanas or postures that unite the body and mind. Yoga practitioners claim that this gives them health and peace of mind. There are many interpretations about why and what is done, but something that is clear is that it gives the person more flexibility and aesthetics. Yoga is for people of all ages even older people often say they feel younger. When yoga develops as a lifestyle, life is accepted as is, discovering own abilities, being happy and looking beyond himself.

Among the physical benefits of yoga are strengthening muscles and helps reduce pain caused by physical conditions, increases energy, breathe better and in turn benefits our systems. On the other hand, it promotes concentration, reduces stress and gives us harmony. In practice a balance that can serve as therapy for psychological conditions experienced. For example, when the person is confident it has the ability to make decisions clearly against their own difficulties, he remains with optimistic thoughts and self-esteem increases. So yoga and psychology are integrated by the search for the integration of human beings and their experiences.

Self steem

Self esteem consists of thoughts, perceptions and self-love. This also influences how the person is, acts, expresses emotions and relate to others. Often is needed to be developed with respect for own person to accept reality and understand why the shares. Self-esteem also arises automatically from the inside, being an essential human need and evolve over time and experiences that the person has. The psychologist Abraham Maslow presents self-esteem as part of his hierarchy of human needs with emphasis on two aspects, the appreciation of self and received from others then, when these reach a self-realization is obtained.
Self-esteem is derived from many variants and these are positive and negative. For example, when there is an excess of self-love, it may seem selfish and narcissistic. On the other hand, when it has a low self-esteem people are depressed. biological and social factors help shape the personality, because often those who are dear manage to feel safer and experience who receive negative reviews pessimism. Then one must struggle with the environment and trust yourself no matter what others may say, a positive self provide strength, will help to accept errors and to persevere.
I share a link where Henrik Edberg provides information about how to increase self-esteem. For example: Refocus on doing what YOU really, really like to do, stop falling into the comparison trap, handle mistakes and failures in a more positive way and say stop to your inner critic.

Texting at night

Youth of XXI century is called the generation of technology, because a small child knows better than an old handle an electronic device. Technology has contributed to major changes in history, these positive both negative. Contributions such as rapid access to information or social networks, advances in all disciplines have been amazing but not all is good. Daily, he faces a fight against the obsession that can be created by technology. I've shared a link describing such a simple and worrying example.

This study attempts to relate texting habits at night and academic and health of adolescent development. As mentioned children are begin to use electronic devices at an early age, either to keep away tears or for fun. Then gradually it develops a dependency on these, especially when the child he was given his first cell phone you want to be communicating with your friends and be playing late into the night. This practice is greater in adolescents, mostly even alter its rhythms of life when you do not sleep the hours needed and expose their view to such radiation. They have conducted surveys and observations that clearly the guys who text more time in darkness affects them rest without knowing the damage it is causing. This is affecting not only vision but also learning, memory and social life as we noted the news. Some benefits of staying up later is an increase in both emotional school readiness but still must rest. A recommendation too many educators is to take into consideration the time off when they assign tasks and it is not a luxury and on the other hand, complete tasks on time to avoid exposure to this evil.

Psi Ψ

Psychology is represented by the symbol Ψ psi. This symbol is a letter from the Greek alphabet. Its origin and developed of the word psyche that represented a butterfly and today is given the meaning of encouragement and soul. Greek culture believed that at death the soul of the person rises as a butterfly, this being the beginning of new life. Also, Psyche exists in mythology and is represented as a beautiful young woman with butterfly wings in love with Eros, son of Aphrodite and had undergoing a series of tests and changes. This transformation process is assimilated to the growth process butterfly as self growth that can have a person.
Some people believe that a combination of the physical and spiritual helps to elevate the human soul to a more complete being, then it means that the person will be in a constant struggle to achieve a butterfly, a butterfly free rising to the heights sure of herself. Analyzing, the person when is a butterfly flies because has defined her life and knows where to go. So, butterfly as psychology symbolizing encouragement and changes giving a reasonable balance to the person. Beliefs and Greek mythology is seeking beyond the apparent, studying and learning more. It is amazing and very interesting this comparison and personally I agree with the thoughts, I struggle to be a butterfly.
